1 MATCH FOUND. SHOWING DATA ...
ENTITY: Zealot; Zealotian
RACE NAME: UNKNOWN
RACE TYPE: Humanoid
ID: A137-21
HOMEPLANET: UNKNOWN
BIOSTRUCTURE: Carbon based, weak bone structure, white or light blue skin,
black eyes, high toxicity level in blood (species seems immune)
LANGUAGE: UNKNOWN
1ST CONTACT: Somewhere around 2245. Precise date unknown.
TECHNOLOGY: Advanced, High-tech
BACKGROUND: Made their first appearance after Coalition forces settled on
an unnamed gold-rich planet in sector 54/A.
Cause of their sudden appearance remains unknown.
Race has been nicknamed Zealotians or Zealots due to their fanatic
attacks on anyone mining gold on aforementioned planet and the
fact that every Zealot seems to wield a (symbolic?) staff.
The reasons for the attacks remain unknown. They do not seem
to have an interest in mining the gold themselves.
Attacks usually begin unexpected, however, ships in orbit sometimes
manage to pick up Zealotian voices, seemingly coming from
areas in space where no ships reside. Possible cloaking technology.
These conversations are known to be signs of oncoming attacks.
Race does not seem to have an interest in attacking anyone not
residing on the planet or its accompanied moon. No attacks have been
made on TradeStation Midas or orbiting ships.
FILES: These images were acquired several months ago during a Zealotian
attack on the coalition starship "Gryphon" during a mining operation:
Bridge incursion from above.
Hangar doors collapsed on
several
The
pilot did not have a chance. Zealots. Research was conducted
on the items they left behind.
The attackers did not have any problems opening the doors on this ship.
The
last available picture of the bridge, which was captured only moments
after
the enemy's incursion.
Fighting
was most heavy in the cargo area, where the Zealotians seemed to
goal at securing the piles of mined gold.
Coalition forces offered heavy resistance but eventually lost against
the Zealotian incursion. However, useful tactical data was acquired
during and after the skirmish. See TACTICAL.
This
recording was taken right before the attack by a passing merchant
vessel: Gryphon incident recording
TACTICAL: Zealotian bodies are fragile but are protected by a high-tech suit of
some kind, which also allows greater strength for carrying things
due to internal high-tech servo motors.
Both helmet and body are shielded.
Current weakness lies in their helmets, which tends to break after
enough punishment, leaving their heads open for attack.
Due to their frailness and high blood pressure one or two headshots
will quickly terminate one.
The greatest danger lies in their weaponry.
Weapons are energy based. The type of energy is unfound in
the currently known star systems and very destructive to most
life forms and materials. It is guessed green crystal is used, as found
in their staves, but refined. Origin of crystal is, of course, unknown.
Due to not being able to interrogate Zealotians, the class and names
of their weapons remain unknown.
The following will describe what is known about their gear:
All weapons seem to use the same (unknown) materials and Zealots seem
to use one type of energy module (clip) compatible for all of them.
Zealot Digger: Short, durable digger. Seems to dig through most
materials but has trouble penetrating metals.
Zealot Staff: Green, crystal staff.
material used in their energy modules. More
research needed.
Very lethal in close combat and also functions as
a shield. It is thought to be a symbolic item to
this race as well.
Zealot Small Gun: Short, rapid-firing gun, capable of eliminating
several targets with one clip. Very accurate.
Zealot Medium Gun: Long, rapid-firing gun, capable of eliminating
many targets before running out of energy.
Particle seems to split to hit targets in multiple
areas.
Zealot Heavy Gun: Heavy gun capable of firing compact energy particles
that burst into showers of energy after impact.
Caution advised. Surviving a direct hit is unlikely.
Zealot Long Gun: The longest Zealot gun found after the Gryphon
incident.
High-powered sniper-like rifle with a very powerful
scope that lets the user see through smoke, dark
areas and even unprotected walls.
Caution advised. Surviving a headshot without
protection is unlikely.
